KARACHI Over 40 suspects among who was a target killer were arrested by the police in Karachi late Tuesday.
39 suspects were arrested and sent to different police stations for interrogations after the police raided Bilal Colony, Rashidabad, Pahar Ganj and DeSilva Town areas, officials said.
Arms and a stolen motorbike were also seized from the arrested suspects.
Meanwhile in raids conducted in New Karachi, Azizabad and Joharabad areas four more suspects were held.
Umar Farooq alias Charya, the suspected target killer, was apprehended from Joharabad following a tip-off, SP Gulberg Bashir Brohi said.
Umar is allegedly affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London and is suspected to have killed five people in Baloch Goth in 1995, Brohi said.
