ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb Friday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was becoming “infamous for incessant lies and provocative statements”.
Commenting on the PTI’s rally in Islamabad on Friday, the minister said, “I congratulate you (Imran) for addressing once again the empty chairs in pitch-black night illuminated with flood lights.”
She said that Imran Khan had been detained at international airports as he was considered as a “security risk” for other countries.
The minister urged the PTI chief to reveal the name of the person, who offered Imran Rs 10 billion for keeping mum on the Panama issue. She said that Imran had been telling lies before the court for the last four years, and once again told lies to people at the Islamabad gathering. “But now people do not come to listen to your lies and cries,” she remarked, adding: “For God’s sake stop telling lies in the name of Quran.”
Marriyum said that infrastructure development was not Imran’s fate because “God does not help those who tell lies”. She urged electronic media to show aerial views of Imran’s rally to bring him out “illusion”.
