ISLAMABAD: The government on Tuesday passed on the full increase in prices of petrol and high speed diesel following fluctuation in global oil prices, effective from November 1, 2017.
The government passed on the full increase in prices of petrol and diesel. The crude oil prices had witnessed an increase from $52 per barrel to $60 per barrel during the month of October.
Following this trend of hike in oil prices, the regulator, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), had recommended an increase of Rs 5.19 per litre in the price of high speed diesel and Rs 2.49 per litre in the price of petrol, effective from November 1, 2017, which accounted for 3.4 per cent and 6.5 per cent increase per litre, respectively.
