LAHORE: A meeting of National Security Committee (NSC) was held on Wednesday to discuss the security condition of Balochistan, while condemning the recent attacks on the Pakistan Army Checkpost in Bajaur Agency and attack on the police officials in Quetta.
The meeting was attended by important personalities that include, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman General Zubair Mehmood Hayat, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, Chief of Air Staff Air Marshall Sohail Aman, and other senior civil and military representatives.
Deep concerns were expressed over the role of hostile agencies trying to destabilise Pakistan.
The committee reviewed the security situation of Balochistan and appreciated the visible improvements made in recent past. The committee further appreciated the hard work of armed forces and law enforcement agencies.
Furthermore, the committee agreed to provide more development funds to the province of Baloshistan.
