GUJRANWALA: A man was shot and injured for resisting an attepmted robbery on Kashmir Road. Ashiq and his wife were coming home after attending a wedding when two robbers stopped them and looted gold ornaments and Rs 15,000 cash.
When Ashiq tried to resist a robber fired at his leg. Separately, three workers were burned when a furnace at a factory exploded. Workers were busy working in the factory at Maafi Wala when a cracker in the scrap exploded, injuring Iqbal, Dilawar and Sajjad. They were rushed to DHQ Hospital by Rescue 1122 officials. Meanwhile, a factory worker was allegedly tortured by a police constable.
