LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira on Wednesday said that government holds no reason to stay in power after Panama leaks, Dawn leaks and load shedding.
He visited Nasir Bagh to monitor the preparations for the gathering that PPP is going to hold on Thursday to protest against load shedding. PPP leader bashed the ruling party and said that his party will show them the difference between a ‘patwari’ meeting and a political gathering in Nasir Bagh.
Kaira also responded to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s statement in which he called himself lion and his political opponents’ jackals. He termed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) lions fake and said that Nawaz Sharif and his companions cannot bear times of hardship as all of them are bogus lions.
He said that Panama leaks and Dawn leaks have devastated the PM. Those who have been sacrificed in Dawn leaks case are themselves saying they are innocent, said Kaira. He claimed that these cases will make Nawaz Sharif suffer a lot.
He further said that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif used to do drama at Minar-e-Pakistan against load shedding in PPP’s tenure but we are not even permitted to arrange a camp. He made it clear that protests will start on the spot if administration stops the convoys.
