KARACHI: The Karachi Police claimed to have retrieved four abducted foreigners including an Iranian National, while rounding up five alleged kidnappers during a search operation conducted in Gulshan-e-Johar on Thursday.
On a tip-off, the police raided an Apartment located in Gulshan-e-Johar area of Karachi and arrested five kidnappers and retrieved four abductees.
Director Inspector General East Arif Hanif said that weapons and money were also recovered from kidnappers’ possession.
Among the abductees are three Nigerian Nationals and an Iranian National, who were abducted from a hotel near the Airport and Gwadar respectively.
The arrested abductors used to befool the traders from other countries and call them in Karachi or Balochistan and later they kidnapped them.
The kidnappers were reportedly international dealers of weapons and drugs.
The recovered foreign nationals will be handed over to their respective embassies after recording their statements.
