LAHORE: At least 41 suspects including 18 wanted to police in various crimes have been apprehended from various areas of Punjab during separate search operations.
According to DPO Vehari Omer Syed the Punjab police carried out separate search operations in Matila Chowk, Mitro, Tiba Sultanpur, Dou Kotta, thangi and apprehended 24 suspected persons including wanted to police. The Police recovered arms and heavy amount of drug from the detainees. 17 others suspected persons were rounded up from Saraye Muhajir and Dalay Wala area of Bhakkar, said the DPO. As many as 16 criminals were detained from Hafiz Abad during a search operation. In Rahim Yar Khan six suspected persons including a woman were rounded up. During another search operation six suspected persons including a suspect were apprehended.
Police have shifted the detainees to unknown places for interrogation.
